Rhaetian period asteroid impact

This page, and subsidiary pages, provide photographs of the geological features and types of rocks which evidence the asteroid impact in the Rochechouart region.

It also provides images from some of the places of interest we recommend for visitors to the region wishing to do personal research.
These images are provided as a complement / supplement to our publication on the impact.

However, our aim is that they also show the casual reader some of the geology and nature of the beautiful Rochechouart region. Please click on titles below to visit specific pages.
