About us
Observatoire Solaire was founded in late 2015 by Neil and Janet. We are a small education focused and research organisation based in France (Rochechouart) and the UK (near Skipton).
Neil, our astronomer, is a graduate in mathematics (specialising in gravitational dynamics). Completing his post-graduate studies in astrophysics at the University of London, Neil has been a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society for over 30 years. He has taught in secondary schools, on adult education courses, and as an associate lecturer with the University of Maryland.
His research interests include radial pulsations and non-equilibrium within stars, asteroid orbital dynamics, and the Limousin asteroid impact of the late triassic period.
We very much welcome and appreciate your comments and feedback. Also, if you have any questions on our tuition, courses or programmes, or have any views you'd like to share with us on our publications or educational material, please use the contact form below.
We're also available by telephone for any immediate questions you may have. Our telephone number is +44(0)787 233 2020
